I figured if I have to listen to LMFAO everyday I am working live I may as well make a small tribute to the Party Rock Anthem song.

The theme here was a Jack and the Beanstalk meets an allusion to Tinkerbelle from Peter Pan, stylistically a departure from my standard fare.

When there's a language barrier or simply too much noise to hold a conversation sometimes the beauty and simplicity of making something cute can really bridge that gap. Annabelle, a Chinese student studying translation in Brisbane.

Nathan a big fan of the game Skyrim, and made it more fun to customise this caricature including the Mortal Kombat reference.

Jordan gave me one of the more unique and interesting themes for her caricature, a fan of singing and dogs, her favourite breed being the English bulldog, so I thought hey may as well combine the too interests.

Sinead and sisters, Toni and Kristen from Brisbane; gave me a chance to do a classic Luna Park theme I used to do all the time when I first started out, big heads, little bodies, dodgem cars. Toni had these sweet peacock feathers in her hair , as far as accessorising goes, that's one for the win! ^_^ 

I got a second chance to draw the same Brisbane couple, this time as super heroes! From what I can tell I think they loved it. :)

Originally from the Blue Mountains and after spending the better part of a decade in London and various cities in Europe he was back to begin a new business venture, he and his lovely girlfriend, a teacher specialising in safety education had some of the best stories about the British, television licences,

Thriller Caricature Ed Dyer 2012

I've always wanted to draw MJ and why not have this week's celebrity caricature be the late King Of Pop, from a simpler time and the greatest album. More to come.

In this version I've darkened and defined the line work further, though I still want the image to retain it's gritty feel so I've only cleaned up a few parts.

Day 2 and it's MORE CARTOONS!! LUNA PARK

Alexander "Sandy" a bass player and fan of band Avenged 7 Fold, particularly their Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas inspired track "Bat Country"

Cameron had the dream is to own the drums, and then later to progress from there. Had a close call with the spelling of his name.

Blake had made DUX of his school, I've never understood why that word is used to describe the achievement, still if you miss the visual gag for it I can't help you out. LOL 

KiKi, was the first Black and White and stylistically scaled back cartoon of the day I wanted to focus more on the caricature itself rather than the surrounding theme elements, however her nickname and the soccer ball made for a nice visual gag.

Jess, Kiki's older sister had the orthodontics, it's always sweet when someone with braces isn't too self conscious cause it makes for a more interesting composition.

Terry and Daria, from Taiwan and now living and working in WA, not only a cute couple but Daria was very proud of the English name she chose, very cool. ^_^

Big sister and little brother, hot, tired and the sweltering weather wasn't helping when they came and sat for me he had the 1000 yard stare, and ended up having a nap mid drawing. 

Matt and Anna, lovely couple from the States, he was here living and working in Toowoomba and she was here for New Years from Milwaukee, he reminded me a bit of Mark Wahlberg and she reminded me of Brooke Shields.   

My first family of 5, though my usual limit is 4 people per drawing the opportunity was too sweet to pass up.

Fun to draw she was a dress maker in the family business, lots of freckles ^:_:^. 

It's rare for me to get a chance to draw a Biker this guy's beard was awesome. 

Luna Park 2012 NEW YEARS DAY- THE RESOLUTION!!

Eamon had a bunch of small requests, including his name is Graffiti style and Stewie Griffin from Family Guy (Apologies to Seth MacFarlane) 

Sabine, Eamon's older sister too had plenty of requests, including netball, the Eiffel Tower and Edward Cullen from Twilight,(Apologies to fans of real vampires LOL) whom I drew with visible fangs.

Their mum, Leonie was a fan of jazz, Rockabilly style, Sydney's very hip inner west suburbs of Newtown and Enmore and the novels of Karin Slaughter. 

From SA she was proud to say she was the first girl to wear a scarf and play Aussie rules in that city, and had dreams of being the first female police officer too.

Her younger brother, was a big fan of the anime series Naruto, though I'm not all that familiar with it (for the most part anime just isn't my cup of chai latte) it was a fun draw nonetheless. He had a special request for the character Hinata to be featured. 

A make up artist from the central coast, who'd accidentally burnt her neck with a curling iron,  also a Nightmare Before Christmas fan!

Her boyfriend, a heavy machinery mechanic working on the various coal mining trucks and equipment special request was for Ionides from the movie 300.
