St Elmo's Fire

My little tribute to the monster movie posters of the 50's, it's Elmo devouring Sesame Street- Elmo was introduced to the show in the 1980's as a minor character in an otherwise massive support cast of muppets. These days however, the show seems to be entirely about him! Though some things can be chalked up to nostalgia for the days of a Jim Henson helmed Sesame Street/Muppet Show, but after watching clips comparing the old with what passes for the show these days it seems more insipid and pandering fan service. This was a small tribute to "The Smurfs" a show I never really liked as a kid and less so as an adult with the movie adaptation; an attempt to make something that was never cool, cool somehow. Though combining CGI with live action  The main things I didn't like about the television show was the theme song, the fact their mortal enemy is a wizard who doesn't seem know any magic and his cat- 

Honestly, how hard would it have been to make this using Maya?

Also none of the Smurfs themselves seemed that interesting outside of their name = characteristic = name thing and the use of the word "smurf" every so often to mean people, places and things. The show irked me.
