I Forgot I made these...!
Not to put too finer point on it but I'm somewhat prolific, and no this isn't me blowing my own trumpet here just saying that in the high energy of a gig the flow of the park and the other stuff I draw there are some that simply never get the attention they deserve.
I taught myself how to draw "old school" which is on paper and with a pencil, I do have an ipad convenient though it is can not quite match the feel and texture of traditional drawing. That being said some of the pieces I do for practice, to emulate a style I admire or just for me don't make it on top the blog much less online at all mostly because I run out of time- think of it like:
For starters if you've been following my posts, at least the ones from last year you'd have noticed my Pin Up drawings- and you've also probably noticed the lack of the girly drawings in the closing months of 2012. So I dug around in my collection of originals and found some sketches.

Superman from the Sketchbook Sessions 2011
It's been a while since I posted as this week has been punctuated with building a new studio, it's amazing how much stuff you actually have until you begin to move it around, the late George Carlin put it perfectly as: "a house is just a place to keep your stuff while you go out and buy more stuff".
In this piece I wanted Supes emerging from a smoking crater scratched up and powdered with debris after being unceremoniously hurled into a condemned building from a great height, Clint Eastwood inspired the expression.
More to come soon once the studio is up and running along with footage new concept work and the Pop Culture Pin Up Princess Miss August!

This is the Chalk Urban Art festival 2011, a competition I joined and was featured in the short film documentary in the first minute- the guy with the beanie and the lady killer smile.

Leeloo Dallas MulteePAAASS! 2011-2012
I drew Leeloo, partially for a facebook drawing competition and partially because I just love the character. The Fifth Element is one of those fantastic genre films of the late 90s done right, essentially taking a story and characters that could've easily come from Heavy Metal magazine or 2000 AD (best known for Judge Dredd) and instead of making a very nice, albeit forgettable anime from it, procured a great cast with Bruce Willis as the lead. However it was, for many of us, our first introduction to model/actress Mila Jovovich, she's been in quite a few movies since, but her break out performance was here. No sequel required, in what is technically Cirque Du Soliel the Sci-fi action adventure movie.
